Our Work
Old Home Restoration
There’s a reason your old home feels special.
It was built of old-growth lumber from forests long-gone.
Artisans raised it with an incredible eye for detail.
We bring homes back to the level of beauty and functionality they deserve, ensuring they are protected to withstand another century.
Frequent projects include:
Wood Rot (Treatment & Replacement)
Critical structural repairs.
Restoration of original woodwork.
Replicating architectural details and moldings.
Vinyl and aluminum siding removal.
Windows & Doors
Every year, many thousands of original wooden windows and doors make their way to the dump.
We get it. Poorly maintained, painted shut, or in need of repair, they are often drafty and frustrating to operate.
We return original windows and doors to an operable, beautiful, energy-efficient state, using traditional finishes and techniques that last a lifetime.
Custom Carpentry

Our favorite projects help clients fold their sources of inspiration and comfort into objects of everyday use.
Fine Finishing
We do excellent work in plaster repair, painting, and wood refinishing.
Plaster - We use innovative methods to repair traditional lath-and-plaster, helping preserve the sense of weight and solidity that real plaster gives to a home.
Painting - We work with a broad selection of modern and traditional coatings appropriate for older homes, including Ottosson linseed oil paints and Auson pine tar. We care about durability and long-term value.
Wood Refinishing - We work with traditional formulations of oils, shellac, wax - as well as durable modern coatings - to nourish and protect restored woodwork.
Remodeling
Sometimes your vision means opening up walls, re-imagining spaces, or starting from scratch.
Big projects can be overwhelming, but we help bring ideas into the material realm. Nailing down design details. Navigating permits and inspections. Coordinating with other trades. We are happy to help.
We specialize in period-appropriate and period-influenced renovations.
